Chicago’s Rising Risk Professional network is a thriving community of new-to-the-industry professionals — networking, career development and education for the next generation of risk and insurance leaders.
RRP is an auxiliary group of RIMS. Chicago’s RRP network is open to everyone; events and professional development opportunities are usually aimed at people 35 and younger with less than 7 years in the industry.

RRP members are encouraged to formally join the chapter: member pricing at Chicago RIMS events, plus project and mentorship opportunities. Chicago RIMS offers a special chapter-only membership for RRP members ($75). It does not include national RIMS benefits, but it is an excellent value if you want to get involved locally.
Most Chicago RIMS members have their membership covered by their employer. If you would like advice on asking yours, reach out to the RRP Membership Chair or President.
Join the RRP board
Board members volunteer up to 5 hours a month organizing networking, career development and education for RRP members — and build lasting relationships with peers and mentors along the way.
It is a great way to grow project management, public speaking, organization, leadership and mentorship skills. Appointments are made each March, and occasionally mid-year when openings come up.
National RIMS young professional membership
National RIMS offers discounted membership for certain Rising Risk Professionals, such as students and those under 26 — with preferential event pricing, exclusive RIMS reports and content, and more networking.
